I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me. - Romans 8:37
How can you not just be a conqueror but more than a conqueror?  Isn't it enough just to win?  Those are questions I have asked myself when faced with this verse in devotion or when the Lord would bring it to mind.  It seems like something nice to say, but I believe it is not flattery or hype that God takes the time to put this in scripture.  I believe it is to stretch our thinking of what "enough" really is.  We are not just to win in life, but so exceed what is expected through what God does through us that two things happen.
First, the world around us knows there is something that sets us apart.  Then we are able to give God glory!
Secondly, our success being more than we can handle allows us the resources and opportunity to bless others.  We are given more than we can handle to have a need created to reach out and help those around us.
Our God has called us not to just live life, but a live a life abundantly!  You are more than a conqueror.  You might as well start expecting the excess so you can determine where you will direct it now.
